Jafza, Dubai Media Office Discuss Collaboration On Promoting Dubai As Hub For Global Economy

Jafza will closely cooperate and coordinate efforts with the Government of Dubai Media Office for the promotion of the Emirate of Dubai as a global hub for trade and commerce.

This was the outcome of a meeting held today between Salma Ali Saif bin Hareb, CEO of Jafza and Economic Zones World, and Mona Ghanem Al Marri, the Director-General of the Government of Dubai Media Office.

The Jafza high-level delegation, led by Salma Hareb, comprised Ibrahim Mohamed Aljanahi, the Deputy CEO of Jafza and Chief Commercial Officer of Economic Zones World, Dr. Khaled Ahmed, Chief Planning Officer, and Fatma Salem, Senior Vice President of Commercial and Administrative Services.

Mona Busamra, Director of the Dubai Press Club, Noora Al Abbar, Director of Communications and Innovation, Salem Buti Bel Youha, Director of Media Services, and Abdulla Al Mansouri, the Director of Corporate Support Department at the Dubai Media Office, were also present on the occasion.

Both sides discussed a number of topics of mutual interest, notably the organisation of promotional campaigns, seminars, and collaborative efforts to promote Dubai as the Middle East's premier business hub by highlighting success stories of business, especially of companies that have been successfully operating out of Jafza and TechnoPark.

The two sides also discussed cooperation for the promotion of Dubai as a hub for e-Commerce in the MEASA region, and to highlight the investment opportunities available to global businesses in light of Dubai's successful bid to host World Expo 2020.

Speaking on the occasion, Salma Hareb said, "Our visit is part of our efforts aimed at cooperation and coordination with various government agencies in Dubai, especially the Government of Dubai Media Office, to work together and play a vital role in highlighting the bright side of Dubai in particular, and the UAE in general. In the past few years, there has been a major improvement in the performance of the Dubai Media Office, which serves to highlight official information about Dubai, and present a true image of Dubai to the world." Salma Hareb noted that growing foreign investments in Jafza were a testament to the Free Zone's efforts in attracting foreign businesses to Dubai, through seminars and roadshows in targeted countries around the world. She told the gathering that Jafza's sales and commercial services team conducts more than 11 roadshows and seminars annually across all continents. Coordinated efforts during these roadshows, she said, would help attract more attention to Dubai as the hub for trade and commerce.

She also stressed the need to promote a unified message by all government bodies and official delegations abroad, in order to maintain and enhance the prestige Dubai has gained over the years.
