67% Of UAE Professionals Feel They Receive Less Salary Than Industry Peers, According To Bayt.com And Yougov Salary Survey
The 2013 Bayt.com MENA Salary Survey,conducted by Bayt.com, the Middle East’s number one jobsite, and YouGov, a research and consulting organisation,has revealed that 67% of UAE respondents believe that their current salary is lower than that of other companies in their industry, with only 3% stating a high level of satisfaction with their current remuneration. Eight in 10 believe that the cost of living will continue to increase.

Emirates, one of the world’s fastest growing airlines, has inaugurated its refurbished Paris Charles de Gaulle Lounge for First Class and Business Class passengers as well as Platinum and Gold members of Emirates Skywards, the airline’s frequent flyer programme. It is the first of the airline’s existing worldwide network of lounges to be refurbished in the new interior design, originally unveiled within Emirates’ Concourse A Lounges in Dubai earlier this year.

NBAD plans USD 350 million senior convertible bonds
National Bank of Abu Dhabi P.J.S.C. has announced plans to sell USD 350 million senior unsecured convertible bonds due 2018 (the "Bonds") convertible into ordinary shares of NBAD ("NBAD Shares") with an increase option of up to USD 35 million. NBAD appointed BofA Merrill Lynch, Barclays and J.P. Morgan Securities plc as Joint Global Co-ordinators and Joint Bookrunners along with National Bank of Abu Dhabi P.J.S.C. (in its capacity as Joint Bookrunner). J.P. Morgan Securities plc will act as settlement agent on the offering, NBAD said in a statement.

The Sharjah Fountain at Al Majaz Waterfront brought the ancient Islamic art of Ebru to life with a never seen before art performance by acclaimed Ebru artist Garip Ay from Istanbul. An art form dating back to the 10th century, Ebru can perhaps be best described as painting on water. Also known as Water Marbling, this unique method of painting happens in a tray of water (the canvas) where special inks are "swirled and crafted" to produce fascinating works, which are then, traditionally, transferred to paper. The results of this process are unique with no two designs ever exactly the same again.
