Maktoum bin Mohammed Receives Chief Executive Of HSBC Group |

His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and President of the Dubai International Financial Centre, today received John Flint, the newly appointed Executive Director and Group Chief Executive of HSBC Group, who was accompanied by his predecessor Stewart Gulliver. Sheikh Maktoum welcomed Flint, who will assume his duties in February 2018, and wished him success while expressing his hope that future relations between relevant UAE and Dubai authorities and the British financial group will witness positive developments that serve the mutual interests of both sides. Flint expressed his happiness at visiting Dubai and meeting with Sheikh Maktoum. He also thanked the Deputy Ruler of Dubai for the logistical support provided to the group’s regional office in the emirate, which assisted in expanding the group's activities and investments and promote its role in supporting the country’s national economy, through major investments. The meeting was also attended by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of the Emirates Group; Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director-General of His Highness the Dubai Ruler's Court; Issa Kazem, Governor of the Dubai International Financial Centre; Abdul Fattah Sharaf, Managing Director at HSBC and Chief Executive Officer in the UAE, and the Head of International Business at HSBC, as well as several of the group’s managers in Dubai and the UAE. |
