Two Unique New Venues Set To Revolutionise Children’s Entertainment, Health And Wellbeing In Abu Dhabi |

Two unique venues offering children fun and exciting ways to develop their cognitive, emotional, physical and creative abilities have opened in Abu Dhabi. The Little World Discovery Centre and The Little Gym are set to revolutionise the indoor ‘edutainment’ and wellbeing offerings available to families in the capital, with their unrivalled range of engaging activities aimed at capturing young imaginations, and getting young bodies moving. Unlike anything else available in Abu Dhabi, both venues offer youngsters (including children with special needs), the chance to explore, create, learn and develop in a fun and safe environment. All equipment has been imported from North America, complying with the highest international safety standards. Furthermore, the director and the venues’ trained instructors all come from a background in children’s education and/or have a university degree. They run a variety of programmes and classes with the main goal of nurturing happy, confident children, allowing them a wholly different ‘learn through play’ experience, vastly different from other indoor children’s play and gym areas currently on offer. In addition to the indoor play and fitness areas, to further promote the health and wellbeing of children, Little World and The Little Gym will be offering members and regular visitors complementary monthly eye and dental checks, as well as nutritionist consultations, on regular days throughout the month. These additional services have been made possible through a collaboration with NMC and Brightpoint Women’s Hospitals. Little World will also be organising literacy events, writers workshops and science and engineering classes and camps, to complement the Computer Explorers classes also on offer. Originating from the US, Computer Explorers offers classes such as Web Design, Robotics, Movie Making, Video Game Animation, Circuit Board Training, Renewable Energy and Minecraft, where children can begin to learn concepts such as computer programming, engineering and graphic design. Little World Discovery Centre is a proud supporter of green initiatives such as the conservation of resources, recycling, sustainability and the preservation of our natural resources through science-based workshop lessons and acquisitions of art resources. Little World and The Little Gym are located next to each other on the second floor of the new Nation Galleria Mall (next to the St. Regis Hotel) on the Corniche. Access to Little World is available by purchasing hourly, daily or unlimited monthly passes. Classes at The Little Gym are run in course format, with the first class being free to newcomers. Free wi-fi, on-site facilities and a baby changing room are also available. |
