31 Emirati Graduates Join du’s New Graduate Trainee Programme











Entering the working world after graduation can be daunting. du’s new, more tailored Graduate Trainee (GT) programme not only makes the transition a smooth one, but provides essential vocational experience that sets participants up for a successful future in one of the UAE’s fastest-moving industries.

du’s GT programme has so far seen hundreds of Emirati graduates undergo training and placement within the company, but the latest version of the popular training programme has been revamped to offer an even more valuable experience.

The enhanced GT programme, currently comprising of 31 GTs, is a dynamic and impactful learning plan for UAE National graduates joining du. The programme includes many courses that are relevant to the GT’s role, and customized to promote their growth and development.

Over the course of 18 months, graduates will move through three training stages. Phase one involves 3 months of learning about du, the department they will be assigned to and the role they will play. In phase two, they will spend one month working with their key du departments in order to gain a deeper understanding, before entering phase three, 14 months of learning and applying their technical and behavioural competencies to their role.

Ibrahim Nassir, Chief Human Resources & Shared Services Officer, du, said: “Our new GT programme is more streamlined, giving our graduate participants a more direct route into the line of work that best suits their competencies. This allows them more time to develop their skills and to get a real feel for not only working within du, but for understanding their vocational capabilities and learning how to enhance their potential.”
