Yas Mall Transforms Into A Race Track

Aldar Properties shifts up a gear, in preparation for the upcoming November opening of the much anticipated Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi.

Entering the final lap, Aldar invited F1 World Champions Infiniti Red Bull Racing to stage a spectacular stunt, whereby international racing driver Carlos Sainz Jr. cruised past some of Yas Island’s most iconic destinations, as he journeyed his way across the island towards Yas Mall, for a one-of-a-kind breath-taking experience. The car zoomed around the new fashion avenue, accelerating through the super mall’s wide corridors and taking a spin through one of the centre’s many vast and open spaces.

Pictured is Talal Al Dhiyebi, Executive Director of Asset Management at Aldar Properties, along with the Yas Mall team, greeting Sainz and the engineers and mechanics after the stunt.

Commenting on the launch campaign, Talal Al Dhiyebi said: “As part of the wider Yas Mall launch campaign, we were thrilled to partner with the Infiniti Red Bull Racing team for this impressive stunt. The mall is a destination for unique and innovative experiences, and this event perfectly embodies those values. The video, which is is available on the mall’s social media channels, complements the 2014 F1 World Championship which is set to conclude at the Yas Marina Circuit in November."

The Yas Mall launch campaign is now in full swing, as retailer fit outs continue at an accelerated pace with 95% of outlets committed in terms of leasing ahead of the November opening.

Upon opening, Yas Mall will become the first super-regional mall in Abu Dhabi, offering a total leasable area of almost 2.5 million sq. ft. The everyday getaway will offer visitors a world-class shopping and entertainment experience with more than 370 stores under one roof, including: Debenhams, Marks & Spencer, Chalhoub Department Store, VOX Cinemas, Lego and, Geant; as well as The Cheesecake Factory, P.F.
