MOI Takes Part In ’Taweya’, The National Show For Society Awareness And Humanitarian Services











The National Show for Society Awareness and Humanitarian Services, Taweya 2014, commenced on Monday, with wide participation of various entities from the Ministry of Interior and Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters (GHQ). The events of Taweya 2014, which is held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Centre (ADNEC), will conclude on Wednesday.

Captain Majid Abdullah Al Tamimi, Chief of Media and Public Relations Section at the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi, underlined the UAE Government’s commitment to provide an optimum quality of life for the UAE community, in pursuance of the MoI’s strategic plan.  “The strategic plan aims to provide excellent services that are in accordance with the best international standards, to enhance public confidence and achieve customer satisfaction with the provided services,” Captain Al Tamimi said.

Adding further, Captain Al Tamimi stressed the police leadership’s keenness to support social communication and to acquaint the public with the diverse services provided by the Ministry of Interior’s different sectors; in a bid to promote community partnership in the efforts aimed at boosting security and stability.

In conclusion, Captain Al Tamimi noted that the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi is taking part in this valuable  exhibition with a view to enhance awareness of university  and school students about the importance of preserving  passports against damage, loss, or identity theft;. The directorate also seeks to stress the need to renew residence visas for domestic workers sponsored by Emiratis on time, to avoid penalties and delay fees. It is worth mentioning that within its participation at the exhibition, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi also distributed awareness publications for visitors, and organized several educational contests for school students. Prizes were distributed to the winners.
