Saif Bin Zayed Receives Copy Of ’Al Sarab’ Book By Al Suwaidi |

During a meeting held at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, was presented with the fifth edition of the book titled ‘Al Sarab’ (The Mirage),authored by Dr. Jamal Sanad Al-Suwaidi, Director General of the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR). The book depicts how religious and political groups misuse Islam to sell lies and illusions to the masses in Arab and Islamic countries. Furthermore, His Highness lauded the valuable role played by the ECSSR in supporting the process of decision-making in the UAE, and supporting comprehensive development through studies, research and scientific activities, as well as its efforts in qualifying national cadres of researchers. Sheikh Saif also expressed his appreciation of the outstanding intellectual contributions made by Dr. Jamal Sanad Al-Suwaidi, Director General of the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR), through his thoughtful scientific work that promotes understanding and awareness on issues of concern to the UAE, the region and the world. For his part, Dr. Al Suwaidi expressed his immense pride and gratitude at being received by HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and wished His Highness continued good health and wellbeing. Dr. Al Suwaidi also commended the role undertaken by the Ministry of Interior as the first line of defense against anyone who dares to disrupt the security and stability enjoyed by the UAE. ECSSR’s Director General also expressed his contentment towards the extremely positive reaction received by his latest book ‘Al Sarab’ (The Mirage), in the UAE and abroad. He said: “Positive reactions to the book prove that the message intended by the book has gotten through. There is a growing awareness of the danger posed by political and religious groups, not only in the Arab World or the Middle East, but worldwide.” Adding further, he said: “The approach adopted by the UAE in dealing with political and religious groups, has been the source of inspiration behind his book ‘Al Sarab’ (The Mirage). The ongoing regional and international developments confirm the enduring wisdom and foresight demonstrated by the wise leadership, which warned long ago against the risk posed by such groups, and their misleading slogans, and called for combating them.” The meeting was attended by Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Director General of the Headquarters Affairs at Abu Dhabi Police.
