ADFD Hosts Lecture On Importance Of Loyalty To Homeland |

In keeping with the spirit of the Holy Month of Ramadan, Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) hosted a lecture delivered by Omar Habtoor Al Darei, Director of Fatwa Department at the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, on the importance of loyalty and belongingness to one’s homeland. In his lecture, Al Darei highlighted the importance of loyalty to the nation and its wise leadership as an integral part of worshipping Allah. He stressed that loyalty to the nation is a basic instinct in every human being and an effective shield against chaos and anarchy. He pointed out that Islam commanded its followers to be patriotic and loyal to their homelands as affirmed by numerous Quranic verses and the Prophet’s traditions. He added that the UAE, by the grace of God, enjoys countless blessings and bounty of God, most importantly its high safety and security as well as the strong bond and fondness between the leadership and citizens. This is due to the fact that the UAE leadership is keen to provide all means of happiness and prosperity to its citizens and residents. Therefore, it is the duty of everyone living in the country to pray for the nation’s leadership. At the conclusion of the lecture, Al Darei stressed that every Emirati is obliged to demonstrate his loyalty and pride in his nation by preserving its identity and values as well as actively participating in nation-building in line with the aspirations of the country’s leadership. He noted that by demonstrating loyalty and obedience to the leadership and praying for them, we can ensure enduring happiness and well-being for every citizens |
