New Right Health Clinic Opened To Offer Quality Healthcare To Blue-Collar Workers In Sharjah

Salem Yousef Al Qaseer, Chairman of the Labour Standards Development Authority, LSDA, has visited the new clinic in Sharjah for Right Health.

Accompanied by Omar Al Sharji, Director of Support and Corporate Communications Department, Al Qaseer inspected the new facility located at Al Saja’a in Sharjah that served the residents of the area and surrounding neighbourhoods.

Sharjah has always been at the vanguard in supporting and enhancing opportunities and services for workers in the city. This new facility will heavily contribute to LSDA’s vision and objective to offer quality healthcare to a large number of blue-collar workers in Sharjah.

Al Qaseer, said, "Opening a new clinic that will offer affordable, world-class quality healthcare is a constructive step and an important idea that reflects the values of Sharjah in enhancing healthcare services. Right Health has strategically opened this clinic in the middle of the industrial area to cater to the many workers residing in the Saja labour camps. This facility serves as an example for all healthcare providers and we hope others will follow in Right Health’s footsteps and open more facilities that consider workers and their well-being of prime importance."

The new clinic also serves the LSDA’s strategic objectives. LSDA was established in line with the keen interest of H.H. Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, to facilitate an ideal work environment in Sharjah. The authority aims at providing support to workers and employers in cooperation with government stakeholders and private enterprises, to enhance the performance of this sector, and keep pace with the rapid developments witnessed by the emirate of Sharjah in particular and the UAE in general.

The value healthcare chain has been rapidly expanding its reach into labour neighbourhoods of the country, bringing quality healthcare to the doorstep of low-income expatriates.

The primary health clinic at Al Saja’a is one of the 57 Right Health facilities launched with the aim of assisting the government in addressing the shortfall of health centres that cater to low-income patients in the Emirate. The clinic caters to around 1,050 patients monthly.

Dr. Sanjay Paithankar, Managing Director of Right Health, said, "Right Health seeks to ensure that the UAE’s blue-collar workers can also enjoy access to quality healthcare close to their homes and places of work. Our fast-growing presence in the region is a result of our tireless efforts to bring reliable, affordable and outcome-driven health services to the masses where they need them."
