Identity Card A Must For Emiratis To Process Applications With Abu Dhabi Police |

The Department of Vehicles and Drivers Licensing at the General Department of Abu Dhabi Police, said it would require presentation of identity card for processing any electronic application in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Western Region with effect from Nov. 8, from UAE nationals. The same condition will be applicable to expatriates later. Lt. Colonel Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, spokesman for the department, said the circulars have been distributed to all the branches, checking and registration centres of Abu Dhabi police, adding that it is a mandatory for UAE national cutomers to present the identity card with effect from Nov. 8, to receive services from the department. He revealed that the department has launched an electronic system with bar code readers to speedily identify personal data in the customers’ identity cards. |
