Etihad Wins Triple Honours At The Irish Travel Trade Awards

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has received three major awards at the 18th annual Irish Travel Trade News Awards.

The Abu Dhabi based airline, which will celebrate its third anniversary of services to Ireland in July, was named Best Business Class Airline for the third year running. Etihad was also awarded the Best Airline to the Middle East and Africa for the second year in a row, and received the Best Airline to Asia Pacific award for the first time.

Etihad currently operates daily flights between Dublin and Abu Dhabi, with onward connections to a range of destinations worldwide. From 28 March, Etihad will increase the frequency of its Dublin services to 10 flights per week.

Beatrice Cosgrove, Etihad Airways’ Ireland country manager, said: “We are committed to providing the highest levels of service to our customers in Ireland and we are thrilled to be recognised by the Irish travel trade in this way.

“The awards show that our continued investment in product and service is the right approach for us and for our customers, and is fast securing Etihad’s position as the finest airline in the sky.”

In November 2009, Etihad Airways won the top award at the World Travel Awards (WTA), being voted World’s Leading Airline by more than 180,000 travel industry professionals from over 175 countries, and was last week awarded Best Long-Haul Airline at the United Kingdom’s Business Travel Awards
