As Part Of An Ambitious Plan And A Development Strategy Until 2012 - ESNAAD Acquires 3 Ships











One of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company‘s (ADNOC) subsidiaries, announced that it had received 3 ships to join its 43-ship fleet including 8 chartered ships.

With the news addition, the number of ESNAAD owned ships will rise to 34 multi-purpose ones. This is part of the ambitious plan of the company to execute its long-term strategy until 2012 to increase its fleet of ships to serve the oil sector in Abu Dhabi.

“ESNAAD’s new ships are state-of-the-art and can adapt with circumstances,” Darwish Abdullah Al Qubaisi, ESNAAD General Manager said. “Equipped with a Rolls Royce engines the ships will be called ESNAAD 950, ESNAAD 951 and ESNAAD 95. The ships have been chartered to Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA OPCO).”

As of the last quarter of 2009, ESNAAD received its new ships 950, 951 and 952. More new ships will be in service soon.

Al Qubaisi added that ESNAAD was offering a total quality services for the oil and gas industry. The company also exerts efforts to ensure excellent and advance positions among competitors, according to him. He added that ESNAAD has introduced a series of service to test and handle oil fields using latest technology and equipments with different application. He further explained that highly trained technicians and specialized engineers and administrators were running the whole operation.

ESNAAD services range between well optimization, pump different drilling liquids using high pressure pumps, using spiral pipes in processing and stimulation, using nitrogen in processing, testing well production, cement chemicals supply, drilling liquid tanks supply, testing and observing corrosion in production lines using scanning methodology, testing corrosion and maintenance of oil facilities suing rope technique, chemical engineering and drilling chemicals.

He clarified that ESNAAD continuously was doing necessary technical studies to follow up latest updates in the field of it work. That is why the company always applies the latest technology in its fleet to raise the bar for its performance and provide services according to the highest international standards taking into consideration HSE standards along with quality.

ESNAAD owns an advanced high level marine platform equipped with latest technology and basic requirements. It total area is 1.4 million s.m. with ships heading to serve its customers. A considerable area has been leased to a number of companies who offer logistic support to ESNAAD, and operate in several oil and gas projects in Abu Dhabi Emirate.

Al Qubaisi emphasized that the company was keen to introduce modern technology to serve oil fields. For the reason the company has recently created a specialized division specialized in serving oil companies in the field of engineering, well stimulation, pipe corrosion, drilling waste treatment, exporting drilling chemicals, production, oil service equipment under the supervision of specialized team implementing the highest HSE standards.

As far as chemicals and drilling liquids are course, the company has been supplying the local market drilling chemicals with different use. Those chemicals are prepared in ESNAAD factory according to international standards. ESNAAD is recently developing its activities in drilling chemicals and material to include mixing and preparing all types of drilling fluids and salt as a production ready for immediate use in drilling sites in addition to integrated systems to deal with drilling wastes.

The company also runs the integrated marine platform based in Mussafah area in Abu Dhabi, and it offers a wide range of procurement services for oil and gas industry in onshore and offshore rigs for Abu Dhabi and neighbouring countries. Those services include offering an advanced networks of docks, closed and open warehouses, cold stores, handling equipment and a berth for anchoring ESNAAD’s and other companies ships.

The company also offers an advanced infrastructure equipped with an automated control systems, state-of-the-art fire alarm systems to ensure high level of safety and security inside ESNAAD’s base.

ESNAAD has signed an agreement on a specialized oil-field chemical company to build a plant for mixing and preparing chemicals for oil production trains; a lab to test the quality of products will be attached to the plant.

ESNAAD is now one of biggest supplier of that chemical material in Abu Dhabi. The company’s products include a wide variety of material used to inject water in oil and gas fields and refineries. A list of the material produced by the company includes as an example anti-corrosion material, pesticides, water treatment material, foam removers, oxygen removers and others.
