ALHOSN University To Reaffirm Support For ADEC’s 10-Year Strategic Plan During Marina Mall Campaign

Students to disseminate key programs geared towards academic and personal excellence

ALHOSN University, a leading Abu Dhabi-based university dedicated to high-quality value-based education, will emphasize its full support for the Abu Dhabi Education Council’s (ADEC) 10-Year Strategic Plan to raise the quality of educational services during its annual Promotional Campaign to be held from May 27 to June 26, 2010 at the Marina Mall in Abu Dhabi.

ADEC is implementing a decade-long program that will ensure the delivery of quality education to all students of the emirate within a healthy and safe environment. ALHOSN students will assist in various activities that will show how the university’s academic and extra curricular programmes align with ADEC’s goals. Through a special booth to be located strategically within the mall, ALHOSN representatives will introduce the institution’s 11 undergraduate and 7 graduate programs accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

“ALHOSN is following ADEC’s lead and engaging in more activities and programmes that promote academic excellence and personal growth. It is important that our students share our vision and we thus invite them to join us in campaigns such as the one we are organizing at Marina Mall. Through this cooperative approach we believe that we can achieve higher levels of success that benefit our institution, our students and the community,” said Ms. Ghada Qabha, Director of Student Affairs, ALHOSN University.

ALHOSN is currently celebrating its 5th anniversary by intensifying initiatives related to the encouragement of more female participation in engineering and other technical fields, its inclusion in high-profile events linking industry and academia, and support for social and environmental causes. The university marked several achievements during the previous academic year, such as opening a new Studio Building, upgrading its online presence, and signing key partnerships with major private and government organizations. ALHOSN recently held its first Career Fair to introduce its ongoing students and alumni to various local, regional and international employers as well as to networking, internship and training opportunities.
