Summer In Abu Dhabi To Benefit From The Services Of Singapore Airlines

With the Summer season settling in, Abu Dhabi is geared up to welcome a growing number of regional visitors, following an increase in the number of cultural and entertainment activities on offer in the vibrant emirate. The short distance and wealth of entertainment and activity options have made the Emirate an attractive short break destination for residents of Kuwait and other GCC countries. Singapore Airlines is one carrier looking to take advantage of this shift, with its four weekly Abu Dhabi - Kuwait services, as the airline initiated a joint promotional campaign between its offices and partners in the UAE and Kuwait for the month of July to boost exchange between the two countries.

The national carrier of Singapore services the route with a new state-of-the-art wide-bodied Airbus A330-300 aircraft, with inclined-flat seats in business class, intelligent design features and additional personal space and comfort in economy class, as well as a world-class on-demand in-flight entertainment system boasting over 1,000 entertainment options, and iPod and iPhone connectivity. Passengers can indulge in the romance of travel in a new cabin experience, and discover why Singapore Airlines is truly a great way to fly. Other carriers operating the Abu Dhabi – Kuwait route include Etihad Airways and Kuwait Airways.

Travellers from the GCC can utilise this convenient and luxurious product to enjoy the various summer attractions
in Abu Dhabi. Such attractions include Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority’s ‘Summer in Abu Dhabi family festival which runs throughout the UAE capital and Al Ain until August 4th with headline acts at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), fun activities in ADNEC’s Hall 11 and entertainment in malls throughout both cities.

Ahmed Hussein, Deputy Director General, Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority commented: “Additional air access from Kuwait is particularly welcome as the number of hotel guests Abu Dhabi is receiving from this GCC partner country is showing particular promise. Kuwait now ranks as our top 20 market for hotel guests accounting, in the first five months of this year for 3,571 guests which is a 54% rise on the same period last year.”

Hussein added: “We believe our appeal for Kuwaitis can only grow with the opening on October 28th of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, the world’s largest indoor theme park.”
