ADIHEX 2010 Opening Day Sees 18,360 Visitors


Over 535 companies from 39 countries participating as exhibitors. ADACH stand hosts range of unique features and activities. ADIHEX 2010 runs until September 25.










The Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) 2010 continues to soar in popularity as visitor numbers continue to rise. The opening day of the event saw a massive visitor attendance of nearly 18,360. The exhibition, which runs until September 25, has over 535 companies from 39 countries participating as exhibitors.

The Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH), co-organiser of the exhibition is running a range of unique contests and features to support and enrich the visitor experience at the exhibition.

To assist new and young visitors, ADACH is running "Fazaa," a guided tour facility. Visitors at the exhibition can find representatives of ADACH and Fazaa at the reception area, guiding and ushering them to different sections of the hall. Fazaa group is composed of young volunteers who came together to participate in voluntary work and provide their help and support in organizing activities and programs that ADACH supports, to spread awareness about the culture and the heritage within Abu Dhabi and to create interaction with the different cultures of the world.

ADACH is also organizing folklore dancing for children and adults at its stand, while hosting a heritage souk showcasing handicrafts and Emirati food. It consists of traditional booths that showcase traditional local handicrafts, leather and textile products.

Additionally, ADACH is organising Sogha, a workshop for children in handicraft making. Handicraft-making is a very traditional Emirati art form and was conventionally carried out in Houses. In addition, the workshop for children to teaches them creation of traditional accessories.

The stand also hosts the talent and creativity corner, designed as a traditional play field. The playfield focuses on the Abu Dhabi folklore of traditional art performances for adults and children, such as Youla dance. The Al Dhafrah festival, also hosted at ADACH stand, seeks to educate children about camels. The ADACH stand also houses a national library, showcasing latest publications in falconry, hunting, and horsemanship in addition to manuscripts.

The ADACH stand also hosts a corner dedicated to Sheikh Mansoor festival for Arabian Horse Flat Racing. The corner displays events in the gallery related to fishing and horsemanship Cup that the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan won and also the Cup that HH sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan won, as wel as a range of images, brochures, print advertising and media, and documentary images.

The ADACH stand is located in Hall 9 of the exhibition.

ADIHEX 2010 is being held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s representative in Al Gharbia (the Western Region) of Abu Dhabi, the Chairman of the Emirates Falconers Club (EFC), with support from ADACH and the Organization of the Emirates Falconers Club.

The event is co-sponsored by leading corporate organizations including Abu-Dhabi Sports Council, Invest AD, HSBC, Bonyan, Wathba Stud Farm and Areej Al Ameerat.
