Emirates NBD Launches Painting Competition In Abu Dhabi |

Middle East’s leading bank underscores commitment to supporting culture and arts in UAE capital. In collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation.In line with its ongoing commitment to supporting culture and the arts in Abu Dhabi, Emirates NBD, a leading bank in the region, announced today the launch of a painting competition in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Music and Art Foundation (ADMAF). The competition, which kicks off on October 5th, 2010, is open to all members of the public and run for four weeks at the main Emirates NBD branch on Khalifa Street, Abu Dhabi. Budding artists are invited to bring along their paintings to the branch, during its opening hours, which are 8AM-8PM, Saturday to Thursday. Entries can be submitted from October 5–November 5, 2010, to qualify for a chance to win. At the close of the competition, judges from ADMAF and Emirates NBD will select the best entries and rank them as first, second and third. Emirates NBD will then award prizes to the winning artists at a special ceremony to be held in the main branch in Abu Dhabi. Winners will each receive professional artist’s stock worth up to AED 4,000 and the winning paintings will be on display at the branch for one month. “This competition was designed to motivate talented members of the community to come forward and exhibit their artistic creations and at the same time make an interesting focal point for our visitors to the branch,” said Saif Al Mansoori, Deputy Head – Group Marketing and Branding, Emirates NBD. “As a longtime supporter of a wide range of community activities in Abu Dhabi, we will continue to extend our commitment to holding such local events and cultural initiatives.” Mrs. Hoda Al Khamis Kanoo, founder of ADMAF said, “The Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation aims to enhance public access to the arts, inspire creativity and encourage expression. We are delighted to collaborate with Emirates NBD and look forward to surveying the wealth of artistic talent that the competition will most certainly discover. The bank’s presence in Abu Dhabi is marked by the recent opening of a further 4 branches, making a total of 14 branches and 48 ATMs and CDMs spread conveniently throughout the capital and neighboring regions. |
