Thuraya Signs Service Provider Agreement With Taiwan’s Chunghwa Telecom |

Thuraya has signed a new service provider agreement in Taiwan with Chunghwa Telecom to provide mobile satellite operator’s services in Taiwan and the neighbouring region. The main market segments that Chunghwa Telecom, Taiwan’s largest telecommunication operator, will focus on will be the disaster prevention and restoration, maritime and global travellers who are key customers of mobile satellite services. "Partnering with Chunghwa Telecom to extend Thuraya services to the Taiwanese market will enable several market segments to communicate reliably. We look forward to providing our maritime and voice services through robust solutions that are supported by a world-class network that covers Taiwan and the surrounding areas including the waterways," said Thuraya’s Chief Technology Officer, Ali Al Mazrooei.
