Wedding Exhibition 2010 Opens Its Doors In Al Gharbia











The Western Region Development Council (WRDC) – the central coordinating body leading development and promoting opportunity in Al Gharbia, the Western Region of Abu Dhabi – announces that H.E. Hamoud Humaid Al Mansouri, General Manager, Western Region Municipality, has officially opened the Al Gharbia Wedding Exhibition 2010. The exhibition, which is taking place in Zayed City Wedding Hall, gives a wide range of fashion houses and private companies in the bridal industry the opportunity to showcase their items and expertise.

The opening was attended by Obaid Khalfan Al Mazrouei, Director of Investment, Promotion and Public Relations, WRDC; Saeed Suhail Mohammed Mazrouei, Director of Social and Environmental Services, Western Region Municipality; Ibrahim Mohammed Said Al Marar, Public Relations and Press Officer, Diwan of the Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region and Maan Hatem, Director-General of Al Rayan, organiser of the exhibition.

H.E. Hamoud Humaid Al Mansouri, General Manager, Western Region Municipality, praised the concept of the exhibition, saying it will help to serve those who marry and set up a new home together. He went on to say: “The exhibition includes everything a bride could need including beauty products, dresses and gowns, oud and perfumes, cosmetics, jewellery and film production companies. The exhibition also showcases interior design shops and distinctive furniture and fashion retailers.”

He continued: “This exhibition is a credit to Al Gharbia and its continuing progression. As the first of its kind for brides and grooms in Al Gharbia it paves the way for future exhibitions to meet the needs of residents in the region. It also helps to promote UAE industries, in particular the heritage industries of our region, which is set out by the wise vision of our nation’s leadership. Al Gharbia is hungry for opportunities to showcase culture, society, the family and weddings.”

Obaid Khalfan Al Mazrouei, Director of Investment, Promotion and Public Relations, WRDC, said: “The Wedding Exhibition 2010 is a significant opportunity for everyone within the wedding industry to come together under one roof. I would like to thank the Western Regional Municipality, Al Shahama Equestrian Club and Photographia Company for their generous sponsorship for this event.”

Ibrahim Mohammed Said Al Marar, Public Relations and Press Officer, Diwan of the Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region, said: “This exhibition provides the ideal opportunity for brides and grooms to review a wide range of wedding and household items, including clothes, women’s traditional perfumes and high-end furniture, all of which are guaranteed to be of high quality.”
