TDIC Projects Sweep The Board At Arabian Property Awards 2010

Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC), the master developer of tourism, cultural, and residential destinations in Abu Dhabi, scooped four awards at the prestigious Arabian Property Awards 2010, held in Mina Al Salam, Dubai for their Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara and Saadiyat Beach Golf Club projects.

Qasr Al Sarab won three awards at the glittering ceremony, being named ‘Regional Winner’ of the ‘Architecture Award’, ‘Highly Commended’ in the ‘Best Hotel Construction & Design Award’ and also winning a ‘Best Interior Design Award’, bringing the total number of accolades for the resort to 12 since it opened exactly one year ago. Saadiyat Beach Golf Course, designed by Gary Player, was named Regional Winner of the ‘Best Golf Course Award’ on the merit of the appeal and design of its uniquely captivating beachfront course, adding to existing awards already won since opening six months ago.

As Regional Winners, Qasr al Sarab and Saadiyat Beach Golf Club have now been selected as finalists in the ‘Architecture Award’ and the ‘Best Golf Course Award’ respectively at the International Property Awards, which are to be held in London in November.

Lee Tabler, Chief Executive Officer of TDIC, commented: “The Arabian Property Awards celebrate the highest levels of achievement in the property and real estate industry and we are honoured to have received four of these awards for our Qasr Al Sarab and Saadiyat Beach Golf Club projects, within just a year of their opening. Both destinations have gone from strength to strength, winning a host of awards and attracting world wide acclaim on the international leisure and hospitality circuit. We look forward to building on these successes in the years to come as we welcome more local and international visitors.”

The Arabian Property Awards are judged on a number of challenging criteria by an expert panel of over 40 judges, which is chaired by the Editor-in-Chief of International Homes, Helen Shield, and includes distinguished experts in the field of property, design and construction, property writers and fellow sponsors.

The awards were presented at a glittering awards dinner in Dubai on 26th October 2010 that showcased examples of excellence in architecture, design, consultancy and construction, and was attended by the elite of the international property industry.
