First season of the Pro Drag Racing Series kicks off
Yas Drag Racing Centre is beginning the New Year by offering AED 1.4 million in prizes to be won throughout the 2011 Pro Drag Racing Series. The first round is taking place at the Yas Drag Racing Centre from Friday 28 January until Saturday 29 January 2011.
Spectators will witness leading drivers from across the GCC going head to head in the ultimate test of speed, across seven classes of professional racing including: Pro Modified; Outlaw 10.5; Super Eliminator (7.50 Index); Pro Bike; Super Street Bike; Pro 6; and Super Street 8.
Rashid Al Qubaisi, Head of the Yas Drag Racing Centre, said: “Pro Drag Racing Series is a significant and exciting beginning to the 2011 season – and the first round will take place here at Yas Drag Racing Centre. As ever, we are looking forward to welcoming many spectators to the centre to enjoy a weekend of exhilarating motorsports and entertainment.”
Spectators tickets start from AED 30 with an additional opportunity for people to book rides in the world’s fastest three-seat Super Comp dragster - reaching speeds of up to 240 km/h and driven by Yas Top Fuel ace and Chief Drag Racing Instructor Rod Fuller.
This is the first round of the Pro Drag Racing Series organized by the Yas Drag Racing Centre. The second round will take place on 4-5 March 2011.
