Sharjah Decorates Eight Government Buildings And Displays Largest-Lit ’Spirit Of The Union’ Logo
The Organizing Committee of the 40th UAE National Day Celebrations in Sharjah has announced a range of special events to mark the historic occasion.
Sharjah is displaying the largest illuminated logo of the 40th National Day ‘Spirit of the Union’ in the UAE. The logo deploys a new technique that appeals to the eye, harmoniously blending the national colours to dazzle the spectators.
His Excellency Mohamed Ali Al Noman, Chairman of Organizing Committee, encouraged the expat community to join the UAE nationals in making the 40th National Day celebrations a true reflection of unity in diversity.
Over 50 events are being hosted across Sharjah to commemorate the 40th National Day befitting the UAE’s stature, history and achievements. The activities that commenced on 28 November will conclude on 4 December with a grand ceremony at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry building.
A fireworks display on 2 December at the Al Buheirah Corniche will be one of the highlights of the celebrations in Sharjah.
Prominent government offices in the Al Khan area of Sharjah are illuminated in the final week run up to the National Day on 2 December. The buildings include Holy Quran Foundation, Department of Economic Development, Finance Department, Department of Culture and Information, Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority, Department of Planning and Survey, Sharjah Petroleum Council, and Department of Real Estate Registration.
