Many participants expressed at the Cairo International Book Fair on the sidelines of the poetry evening organized by the exhibition management, a great interest to participate in the activities of the Sharjah Children’s Book Fair which will be held in Sharjah next April.
The show witnessed a rare case of cultural polarization unlike the previous sessions, and some attributed this cultural momentum to the rising situation the intellectuals are living in the time being, which is reflected in the broad participation in the poetry evening included in the exhibition. The thirst to participate in various intellectual activities was highly noted, especially in the children gallery because of the importance of theis age group covered by this cultural crowd.
The evening continued with a poetic collection of intellectuals, writers and media, where everyone praised the overwhelming presence of cultural creative state that is present in the wing of Sharjah International Book Fair, stressing that this is not new to the emirate, which has long led the cultural scene over the past decades.
The participants in the exhibition also alluded to the enlightened initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Sultan Al Qassimi, Ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah which is " Sharjah grant for translation," highlighting the importance of this step to embrace the peoples cultures and new innovations of humanity.
The participants also pointed out that this is not new to His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah since his cultural and intellectual participations on the ground are well known, where the most recently was the "Harvest of Years" book, which achieved outstanding sales figures that made it a worthy station to many of those interested in cultural affairs.
The decision of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah in rebuilding the historical complex had a special effect in the minds of Egyptian intellectuals and writers which this event bled their hearts, till this welfare initiative came on the hands of a noble man and ensured the restoration and rebuilding of the vital tissues in the Egyptian and Arab cultural history alike.
Participants stressed that this cultural cohesion is important for the integration of intellectual and cultural Arab construction, highlighting the importance of the pivotal role played by the cultural project launched by the Government of Sharjah and wished to bestow a blessing given the well-being to the ruler of this emirate.
