Porsche Centre Dubai, Al Nabooda Automobiles LLC Unveils New 911 Turbo

Top-of-the-range new 911 Turbo with even more power

Starting the year with an exciting new product arrival, Porsche Centre Dubai is introducing the new 911 Turbo, pinnacle of Porsche’s broad range of production sports cars.

The new Porsche 911 Turbo combines far-reaching innovations in technology with supreme refinement and design. All key features have been significantly improved and, with less weight and more power, the new model boasts enhanced driving dynamics, a higher top speed and a substantial increase in fuel efficiency.

A brand new 3.8-litre powerplant, upgraded from its original 3.6 litre guise, delivers a maximum output of 500 bhp and features Direct Fuel Injection and Porsche’s exclusive turbocharger with variable turbine geometry. As an option, the new six-cylinder engine may be combined for the first time with Porsche’s seven-speed Porsche-Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) (Porsche’s Double-Clutch Gearbox).

The combination of PDK, Direct Fuel Injection and turbocharging ensures an unprecedented standard of agility, responsiveness, performance and efficiency, with the new Porsche 911 Turbo reducing CO2 emissions by almost 18 per cent over the previous model. It is unique within its segment, requiring between just 11.4 and 11.7 litres per 100 km, depending on the configuration of the car.

In spite of this excellent economy, the new model will accelerate to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds while top speed is 312 km/h. Driving dynamics have also been further improved, with detailed enhancements to the Porsche Traction Management and Porsche Stability Management which are further supported by the new Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV), available as an option. All technical developments make the new 911 Turbo even more agile and precise in its steering for an even higher level of driving pleasure.

“The 911 Turbo is at the very peak of sports car design and production, and with even more power and unprecedented fuel economy, it sets a high benchmark for other manufacturers to match”, said Deesch Papke, Managing Director of Porsche Middle East and Africa.

Vijay Rao, General Manager of Porsche Centre Dubai, added that the new model is ideally suited for customers in the country. “With such a wide range of high-performance cars, the Porsche 911 range offers a model for everyone,” he said. “And with the arrival of the new 911 Turbo in the country, customers have an exceptional choice of exclusive sports cars.”

The basic retail price for the new 911 Turbo Coupé in Dubai is 499,000 AED, whilst the Cabriolet starts at 540,100 AED. For further information on the new 911 Turbo please contact Porsche Centre Dubai, Tel: 04 3213 911 or visit the homepage www.porschedubai.com.
