DEWA receives delegation from Ajman Police to learn from the experience of the leading institution in government work |

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) received a delegation from Ajman Police to review the experience of the leading institution in the field of government work, and the work systems adopted by DEWA, according to the highest international standards. The delegation was received by Eng. Waleed Salman, Executive Vice President of Strategy & Business Development at DEWA. The delegation included Col. Mohammed Sheiban, Director General of Ajman Police Headquarters, Major Abdullah Alwan, Vice President of Strategic Planning, and Major Abdul Rahman Al Shamsi, Head of Strategic Planning. The visit comes as part of a series of visits by several government institutions in the UAE, to DEWA, in order to benefit from its pioneering experience in the transformation towards the fourth generation, and to benefit from its expertise in this area. The meeting included a presentation on the achievements of DEWA, which enabled it to win the first prize in the Dubai Government Excellence Program at its 20th session, in the category of Leading Government Entity 2016. "Leadership is a responsibility rather than merely being a source of pride. After being honoured by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and receiving the Leading Government Entity Award, we take great responsibility in spreading knowledge and exchanging experiences with all government institutions within the state. In order to achieve continuous development in the government sector, and to promote government services to the highest level, we seek to reach new horizons beyond excellence to reach the level of leadership in performance and assist the transition to a smart, proactive and innovative government, to achieve the happiness of people, which is the purpose that we work for,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA.
