Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) has completed its preparations to take part in the 5th Edition of the Dubai Government Achievements Exhibition (DGAE). It will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai from 2nd to 4th April 2017 at Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre under the theme: “National Governments, Global Achievements”.
PCFC, a strategic partner to this year’s edition, has actively participated in previous editions, but is giving more attention to this year’s edition being the largest in the history of the exhibition. Around 17,000 visitors are expected to be seen around, and more than 70 exhibitors from different parts of the world will take part in the event.
Entities under PCFC will showcase their projects and innovative products on stand number (8), hall number (7). These will include the Security Happiness System, Pre-Clearance System, Smart Control Room, Jawab Service, Smart Drugs Encyclopedia, and Smart Workspace, plus innovation models, smart assessment tools and maritime information.
Sultan bin Sulayem, DP World Group Chairman & CEO and Chairman of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation said His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai has identified and defined the main features and the proactive methodology of the future government.
“His Highness said it clearly that the gates of future government will not allow the traditional ideas and initiatives to pass through, and Dubai has laid the foundations of creativity to become the norm in Dubai’s government business” bin Sulayem said.
He pointed out that entities under PCFC will showcase extraordinary innovative programs that reflect the out of the box thinking prevalent throughout the corporation.
“With our initiatives and programs we hope to enhance Dubai’s leading role and support its transformation into a knowledge based economy inspired by Sheikh Mohammed’s forward thinking X10 initiative which will see Dubai 10 years ahead of other states worldwide. Our smart programs and projects will definitely help in more client happiness and society growth in fulfilment of the 4th generation of government excellence” he added.
Bin Sulayem reaffirmed that DGAE is a unique strategic platform for the best exchange of expertise, skills and the best government practices.
On his part, Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs said that Dubai Customs has innovated a number of smart programs and services to facilitate customs work and boost the UAE’s sustainable development and its respected world status.
“DGAE is gaining more momentum year over year thanks to the leading role Dubai is assuming worldwide. Many government departments will take part in this year’s edition and share their achievements and projects. This important platform will help enhance the UAE’s renowned position” Musabih added.
He explained that Dubai Customs will showcase 11 new smart initiatives that vary to include smart applications and new tools to facilitate customs procedures.
Dr. Ahmed Al Nuseirat, Coordinator General, Dubai Government Excellence Program said PCFC’s participation in DGAE will enrich the event and hugely benefit other departments.
“This exhibition will shed more light on Dubai Government’s efforts in making life here more prosperous. We are proud of this important meeting point which will be a chance to introduce the achievements of Dubai Government departments to the world”.
