In a charity initiative that aims at enhancing human and spiritual values, the staff of Terminal 2 at Dubai Airport donated a sum of money to build a mosque in Sudan. The initiative is one of many initiatives on Dubai Customs’ 2007 agenda in support of the theme of giving and selflessness declared by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The mosque, which has been completed recently, can accommodate 65 prayers, and has the needed amenities. The airport’s Passenger Operations Department coordinated with Dar Al Bir Society to make that happen.
The building of the mosque comes within Dubai Customs’ CSR efforts to support humanitarian causes everywhere as part of its inherent corporate values.
Falah Khalil Al Sammak, Airport Terminal 2 Senior Manager said these initiatives reaffirm the genuine and great trends of giving adopted by the wise leadership of the UAE.
“There is no doubt that building mosques is a great deed especially in under privileged places. By doing this we are also enhancing the spirit of voluntarism and initiation amongst our staff” he said.
