Sponsored by the Dubai Community Development Authority (CDA), the inaugural International Conference for Inclusive Employment and Occupational Learning (ICIEOL 2017) kicked off today at the Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre, where it will be held on December 10-11, 2017. The first of its kind in the region, ICIEOL 2017 is organised by Qualifications House UK in collaboration with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF), welcoming prominent experts, researchers and academics in the field of vocational education and inclusive employment from more than 10 countries around the world, in addition to local researchers and practitioners. The Conference is rooted in the Dubai Strategy for People of Determination 2020, as well as the “My Community... A City for Everyone” initiative, which seek to make Dubai a friendlier city for people of determination. In addition to exploring the latest studies and international success stories in the inclusive employment sector, day two of ICIEOL 2017 includes eight workshops that look into local successes in the field. |
