Since our first Festival nine years ago, the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature has grown to become recognised as one of the most innovative, exciting and popular global literary events. Our success is also thanks to you and your media colleagues in helping to tell our story and the stories of our authors around the world and enhance our reputation year on year.
Now in recognition of the incredible support and international media impact we have received, the Emirates Literature Foundation – governing body of the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature - is introducing our first ever Media Award to recognise excellence in reporting on the Festival.
The competition is open to reporters from both print and online media in Arabic and English who work in the GCC, India and the United Kingdom and have covered the 2017 Festival between the dates 19 October 2016 and 10 April 2017. Participants will have the opportunity to win a four-day weekend trip for two to London or New York including flights and accommodation at the 5-star InterContinental Hotel.
The deadline for all submissions is April 10th, 2017 – four weeks after the Festival closes. You can find details about how to enter, judging criteria, submission details and the entry form attached separately.
