Mohammed bin Rashid participates in 16th Consultative Meeting of GCC leaders

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, in presence of Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Their Highnesses Kings and leaders of GCC countries, chaired the 16th Consultative Meeting of GCC leaders at king Abdullah International Conference Center, Jeddah.

Gulf Cooperation Council Secretary General Abdullatif Al Zayani said that GCC leaders approved formation of a high-level body among the member states namely “Commission of Economic and Developmental Affairs” aiming at enhancing integration and coordination among the GCC countries in all economic and development fields and accelerate the pace of joint action.

Earlier in the day, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum arrived at the King Abdulaziz International Airport, leading the UAE delegation to Jeddah to attend the 16th Consultative Meeting of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). 

Sheikh Mohammed was welcomed upon arrival by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia, Adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Mecca Prince Khalid Al Faisal, the GCC Secretary-General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, a number of princes, ministers, and military persons.

Accompanying Sheikh Mohammed were a high profile delegation including Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Future Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Security Council Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Dubai Director of Protocol and Hospitality Khalifa Saeed Suleiman and UAE Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Mohammed Saeed Mohammed Al Dhaheri.
