Hamdan bin Mohammed: UAE youth build UAE future

Crown Prince of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum affirmed that UAE youth have the tools for building a better future and these tools include the unlimited support from President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Sheikh Hamdan said UAE youth will make UAE future, and we will achieve our vision to become one of the best countries in the world by 2021.

Sheikh Hamdan’s remarks came during a “Youth Circles” session that was held under the theme “Youth and The Future Skills” at the City Walk. Minister of Cabinet Affairs and the Future Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs Shamma Bint Sohail Faris Al Mazrouei and over 100 young Emirati leaders and university students attended the session.

Dubai Crown Prince said: “the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum affirmed that we must listen to you and know your thoughts and suggestions for the future. He believes in you and in your abilities and loyalty for your country”. 

Sheikh Hamdan said: “successful countries are the ones that are capable of stimulating youth and encouraging them to be more creative and innovative by providing the right environment and tools to build their future and become successful leaders”.

Sheikh Hamdan urged the attendees to utilize modern technologies to serve their purposes and achieve their goals, which will eventually contribute in achieving the national objectives.

The “Youth Circles” is part of the 100-day Action Plan of the Minister of State for Youth Affairs to promote sustainable communication with the UAE youth and understand the ideas of the youth to find solutions to various challenges. It will also help to provide a better incubator environment to realize their dreams and aspirations, and enable them to play a key role in the development process of the country.

The “Youth Circles” will highlight the best practices and discuss the most important issues, opportunities and challenges related to areas such as national identity, innovation, entrepreneurship, localization, happiness, sustainability, health, education, economy, technology, and others.

The “Youth Circles” reflect the UAE’s efforts to promote unity and community participation as well as raise the level of communication between government and citizens to ensure the provision of innovative solutions that exceed the aspirations of the people. The Emirates Youth Council will oversee and organize the “Youth Circles” in all areas of the UAE, including universities, schools, institutions, parks, commercial centers and sports clubs.

Al Mazrouei said the youth in the UAE have attained a high degree of maturity and awareness to create effective solutions to challenges and actively participate in the efforts to shape the country’s future.

Al Mazrouei explained that “Youth Circles” is a platform for positive interaction aimed at listening to the voice of young Emiratis in a new and innovative way. The Youth Circles meetings will be held periodically throughout the year in all the emirates and cities in the UAE. Any young Emirati can register for the initiative through a smart platform designed to serve the goal.
