Dubai Chamber to organise 3 best practice seminars for the MBR Business Award

The three best practice seminars, to be held on January 18, 20 and 25 at the Chamber head office and its Jebel Ali Branch, are complimentary and are open to all organizations based in the GCC, regardless of their type, size, or sector.

Preparations are now on for the first session of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Innovation Award, organised jointly by Dubai Chamber and the Ministry of Economy.

The award’s aim is to support and promote innovation and to embed the concept into the corporate culture of companies in the UAE and the GCC region while promoting their competitiveness in the global business arena.

The first edition of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Innovation Award was launched during the International Conference of
the 9th cycle of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award in November where internationally renowned business excellence, technology, and innovation experts, as well as policy makers, spoke on various innovation and excellence topics.

The seminars bring together excellence leaders and past winners of the prestigious Business Award to create a platform for knowledge sharing of world class practices, access to high-level networking, and the opportunity to gain insight and guidance into the practical methods utilised by regional outperformers.

The seminars’ speakers include past Award winners such as du – Integrated Telecommunications Company, AW Rostamani Group,

School Transport Services, Emirates NBD, RAK Hospital and Union Cooperative Society who will share their experience in achieving outstanding business outcomes through the implementation of the Business Performance Model framework along with innovative and business best practices.

Each seminar addresses different topics and hosts different leading organisations in order to promote a wider coverage of areas of interest for most of the GCC businesses based in the region, regardless of their type, size, and whether public or private sector organisation.

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award was initiated in 2005 under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to recognise and celebrate the success of organisations that contribute to
the sustainable economic development of the UAE and the greater GCC region.

The Award Program, which advocates the improvement of business strategies, processes and overall performance, has been the fundamental structure of Dubai Chamber’s quest to foster excellence and innovation within its business community and that of the entire GCC region.
