The SCTDA Tourism Excellence Awards Tomorrow Under The Patronage Of Sharjah Crown Prince

Emirate to celebrate stars of tourism sector, media

Sharjah is once again set to celebrate and reward the best and brightest of the tourism sector and stars of the media industry for their efforts to promote a culture of excellence in the emirate with the Sharjah Tourism Excellence Awards 2012, being held tomorrow under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qassimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.

As international tourists flock to the Arab and Islamic cultural capital in their thousands and tourism sector grows at a breathtaking pace in the emirate, contributing significantly to the emirate’s economy, the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority is taking steps to boost the industry standards in accordance with the best of international norms.

The Sharjah Tourism Excellence Awards 2012, being hosted by the SCTDA for the fourth year, are part of the Authority’s constant efforts and initiatives to promote excellence and improve services in the crucial tourism industry.

The Sharjah Tourism Excellence Awards, 2012 will be presented tomorrow night at a grand ceremony followed by a speech by HE Mohamed Ali Al Noman, the SCTDA Chairman, and gala dinner at the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry building near Sharjah Expo Centre. Some of the categories of the STE Awards 2012 include the Chairman’s Award for Outstanding Tourism Personality, Destination Development Award, Destination Experience Award, Award for Best Shopping Experience, Award for Luxury Accommodation, Award for Standard Accommodation, Award for Basic Accommodation and Award for Tourism Communication.

The STEA 2012 is an initiative to encourage all players of the tourism industry to constantly improve and excel in offering services that are of international standards, contributing to the development of the tourism sector and economy in the emirate.

The Sharjah Tourism Excellence Awards will honour and celebrate all the stars of Sharjah’s tourism industry across various categories for their contribution and performance during Year 2011. These include hotels, hotel apartments, airlines, tour operators, travel agencies, shopping malls, tour guides, members of the media and all our partners and supporters who have helped promote the Brand Sharjah.
