Open Sports Day At Sharjah Ladies Club |

Sharjah Ladies Club held an “Open Sports Day” event which included many sports activities throughout the whole day, and witnessed a large number of ladies, participating in various sports, such as swimming, running, along with various classes at the Fitness 180°. In addition to shooting, volleyball, basketball and other activities held at the Women Sports Department Gym B. This event comes within the club’s various programs dedicated to hold healthy sporting events, encouraging ladies to exercise and engage in various sports activities. Such events contribute to encourage people to adopt a healthy lifestyle and emphasize the importance of sports and daily exercises. The open sports day began with an Aquathlon competition, including a number of two teams competing in the 500 meters in running, followed by a distance of 200 meters in swimming. Moreover, the club’s facilities were used in the competition including the Olympic pool, along with open beach outdoor sports with the presence of Fitness 180° trainers. After that, participants headed to the Women Sports Department Gym B where they were able to compete in various games, such as street ball, volleyball, shooting, archery, fencing, and tennis. “Open Sports Day was an opportunity for the ladies to be able to experience different sports and be able to know what is appropriate for them. We have placed a full schedule which combined 3 sporting facilities of the club that worked in providing most exciting sport activities. After receiving a positive feedback from the participants, we are motivated to hold more of such events which combine fun and health educational factors in the most private and secure location. We hope to continue embracing such events, especially after our first time success, and it confirms the interest of the ladies to participate in sports gatherings”, Said Maria Ainsa, Sports and Fitness Manager. Moreover, the participants were able to use highly new and exclusive machines in the Fitness180°, and were able to reap valuable information and tips by the experts. In conclusion, winners of the first 3 places in the Aquathlon were awarded by valuable prizes, as well as free vouchers distributed amongst participants of the open sports day. |
