Sharjah Ladies Club Celebrated the 41st UAE National day with its “Beladi” event, sponsored by Sharjah Islamic Bank and Watani, which included several activities held all over the club, a parade by Basateen Preschool Center, a mini bazaar as well as a children’s playgroung zone.
First the event started with SLC staff and Basateen Preschool Center celebrated the National day by doing a special parade for its children around the club and chanting the national anthem while walking in a carnival like atmosphere. The children enjoyed showing off their unique traditional costumes made specifically for this occasion. Also allocating a children’s playground area which included a jumping castle, electronic games, and other various games.
On the other hand, the ladies enjoyed shopping at the mini bazaar, which included traditional national day merchandize, and different businesses. The bazaar also included a corner specified in traditional UAE food, and henna design.
“This yearly occasion is considered one of the most important celebrations in our events calendar. We are always keen in embracing several activities which works on entertaining and serving children and ladies. We are very thankful for the great turnouts in the previous years, where we were able to gain the satisfaction of our members and visitors. So we added several new activities and events for this day “Beladi” by setting a children’s playground area as well as adding new shops in the bazaar. Therefore, the competitions and prizes are on a bigger scale than the previous years, and thankfully this year we met the expectations of our visitors”, Said Badria Al Ali, Head of Corporate Communication Department.
Adding to that she said, “SLC’s staff participated in the parade along with Basateen’s children, enjoying the bazaar and different activities held around the club. This shows our interest in our members, visitors and staff on an equal level, where we insisted on the huge turnout and participation of people in our National Day celebrations and its major impact in spreading the spirit and patriotism among all”.
It is worthy to mention that “Beladi” national day event took place from 9 AM till 8 PM holding multiple activities catering to both ladies and children around the club. This year’s event witnessed major changes and activities. Adding to that, SLC’s staff participated in the 41st National day cake cutting.
