Exhibitors From Over 15 Countries To Showcase Exquisite Jewellery And Watches At Abu Dhabi’s Jewellery & Watch Show (JWS)

8 National Pavilions Will Be Organized

The International Jewellery & Watch Show (JWS) to be held October 22nd to 26th 2008 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre will see exhibitors from 15 countries including some of the world’s most high-end jewellers and watch retailers taking part. Brazil, India, Italy, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, HongKong and Singapore will host national pavilions at the show. Gladstone Jewellery – UK, PT Pelita – Indonesia, Diagems Exports – India, Taka Jewellery – Singapore and IMVIDIA – Italy are among the top international exhibitors at the show. They will be joined by Al Nahar Jewellery & Watches, Sekikazu Corp Amwaj Jewellery, Armanor, Al Masaood Jewellery and other leading exhibitors from the UAE. Several hundred high net-worth individuals in the UAE and elsewhere in the GCC are expected to attend JWS where a line-up of leading ultra-luxury brands including Fabio Famfami, Hanna Freres, Gucci, Carrera, Escada and Jovial will be made available for sale, off the shelf. “We are delighted at the exhibitor response to JWS. The GCC region has some of the world’s most affluent customers and rather than having to travel to other parts of the world, JWS provides an opportunity for high networth individuals in this region to purchase the world’s leading jewellery and watch brands at their doorstep here in Abu Dhabi. It is therefore no surprise that we have managed to attract exhibitors from several parts of the world, to next month’s show,” said Hayete Jemai, Show Manager at Reed Exhibitions, organizer of the International Jewellery & Watch Show (JWS 2008). According to estimates, UAE accounted for 14 percent of the AED 535 billion in global jewellery sales last year. Stating that the global market for watches is projected to grow strongly to exceed AED 121 billion by 2010, Jemai said that the GCC market will account for a significant share of sales. “JWS is timed to ensure that the collections being offered to buyers are in advance of the region’s Jewellery calendar, thus attracting wealthy individuals from the GCC eager to acquire rare pieces before they are available at showrooms in the Middle East.”
