Last week, an ecstatic THE One Khalidiya Restaurant team picked up the Best Café of the Year accolade at the Time Out Abu Dhabi awards ceremony held at Al Raha Beach Hotel, Abu Dhabi.
With no Highly Commended prize awarded for second place in the hotly contested category, there could only be one winner and none more deserving than THE One!
Rebecca Light, Restaurant Operations Manager for THE One, was overjoyed with the team’s latest success: “Restaurant Manager Zahara Kurji and her tribe have done a fantastic job. This award just goes to show how popular ‘The Gourmet Theatre Revival’ menu is with our fans and that hard work definitely pays off.”
Thomas Lundgren’s business partner Rashid Mohammed Al Mazrouei joined THE One’s managers and fellow Tribe members in accepting the award and celebrating the special moment.
This is the second time that THE One Abu Dhabi Restaurant has scooped the prestigious Time Out Abu Dhabi Best Café of the Year award, the first being back in 2006. Since then, the Restaurant has changed considerably. It is now able to seat over 130 guests and has designated smoking and non-smoking sections. However, one thing is still the same; it delivers an ever-changing menu of flavoursome, international dishes and delicious cakes that tantalise the taste buds.
