Etihad Welcomes Third Class Of Graduate Managers


he Third Group Of Etihad Airways Emirati Graduate Managers Has Started Training At The Airline’s Training Academy In Abu Dhabi










The third group of Etihad Airways Emirati graduate managers has started training at the airline’s training academy in Abu Dhabi. The graduate manager course is designed to produce managers who will play a key part in Etihad’s future growth and is part of Etihad’s highly successful Emiratisation scheme which also includes an aircraft maintenance engineering programme and cadet pilot programme. Members of the first graduate programme have completed nine months of their work placement phase in departments across the company and those on the second class have now also started. James Hogan, Etihad Airways’ chief executive, said: “Etihad continues to expand its Emiratisation programme which supports the development of UAE national talent. “We now have three groups of graduate managers with members of the first two courses are already on placements across the company and involved with the day-to-day operation of the airline.” Graduate managers spend 18 months on the scheme which involves a combination of classroom learning and hands-on experience. The course culminates with trainees undertaking placements in Etihad departments where they learn about different aspects of the airline’s business. The work placements include customer service, sales and marketing, reservations, pricing and ticketing, network and schedule planning, finance and human resources. Upon successful completion of the programme the trainees will attain an internationally recognised and accredited post graduate diploma. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Hammadi, a member of the third group on the graduate programme, said: “It’s very exciting to join Etihad as a graduate manager and I look forward to progressing in the course and building my career with the airline.” The third group of Etihad Airways graduate managers are: Hadeya Salem Al Ali, Aysha Abdullah Brouk Al Menhali, Hind Suhail Al-Dhaheri, Mona Jaafer Salem, Tariq Mohamed Ahmed, Mohammed Abdullah Al-Hammadi, Ahmed Omar Abdullah Jaber, Salem Othman Al-Mesmari, Saud Abdurrahman Mohamed, Nafea Salem Al-Ali, Ahmed Ershood Ali Al-Shehhi, Ali Muhsin Hassan Ibrahim, Muna Ali Ahmed Ali and Najla Al Naqbi.
