It’s All About Interiors.....

Building on the success of last year’s exhibition Interiors UAE 2009 is again bringing world-class designers to the capital. Returning to Abu Dhabi for its second year, Interiors UAE -the only international trade interiors event held in Abu Dhabi – will showcase design-led furniture, kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, and lighting. Visitors will be treated to a variety of interior styles thanks to a diverse range of international and local exhibitors including Patina Italia, Air Nova Furniture, Lammhults Mobel, Cole & Son, Walking on Wood, Gingerlily, Jaz Asbury and Bery Designs. A Decorex Pavilion with aspirational and bespoke furniture, fabric and accessory companies will also be present. This exciting show provides the ideal setting for manufacturers and suppliers alike to experience the most affluent interior design region in the world. While global construction slows down, the Middle Eastern industry continues to be resilient to the crisis. Abu Dhabi in particular is experiencing unprecedented growth with population rates predicted to increase by over 30% by 2012 and tourist numbers to exceed 2.7 million per year. With limited residential and hospitality properties currently available in Abu Dhabi the Emirate has more than 200 buildings scheduled for completion by the end of 2009 and many more planned in 2010 and beyond. These developments are driving a substantial demand for interior products across the region and making shows such as Interiors UAE a necessity. Commenting on what is expected at Interiors UAE 2009, Cathy Oates, exhibition director, UBM Live said: “Interiors UAE 2009 has already secured exhibitors from across the world including Europe and the Middle East, so whether you are a specifier, interior designer, developer or buyer from the contract or retail sector, this exhibition offers you the perfect platform from which to source for the season ahead. “Interiors UAE 2008’s seminar programme gave visitors an insight into the work and views of key influential professionals such as Khalid Al Najjar, who designed one of the pavilions at the new Guggenheim in Abu Dhabi. The 2009 seminars will continue this trend, hosting another impressive line-up of speakers, including some of the most iconic designers influencing construction within the region today. Visitors can expect to hear of the very latest projects underway, future forecasts and industry trends, providing yet another reason to attend this first-class exhibition.” For more information or for details about exhibiting at Interiors UAE 2009, please contact Cheryl Fraser on +44 (0)20 7921 8380.
