Tickets Selling Fast For The 6th Abu Dhabi Music And Arts Festival - Don’t Miss Out!


Opera Gala Opening Concert will perform to a full house










Incredible demand for tickets to the 6th Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Festival was today revealed by its organisers, the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF). Abu Dhabi’s residents, as well as art lovers from across the region are rushing to buy tickets, with Magida El Roumi’s concert on Sunday 29 March now completely sold out. The 6th Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Festival begins later this month with a stunning line up of classical performers. Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the festival includes performances from acclaimed regional and international artists, an art exhibition by Iraqi contemporary artist Dia Al Azzawi, and a strong educational programme led by cellist Matthew Barley. Pearl tickets for both performances of the Bolshoi Ballet’s Giselle are now completely sold out. Anticipating this demand for the world’s most famous ballet troupe, the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation is proud to present two nights of Giselle on Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 March, as well as the Divertissement: Bolshoi Ballet Gala on Monday 23 March. Flash, the organisers of Andrea Bocelli: Incanto, Live in Abu Dhabi on Friday 27 March, today announced that due to overwhelming demand, the capacity of the event had been increased to give more people the opportunity to enjoy this once in a lifetime open air concert. With thousands already set to see the world’s greatest living tenor perform live at the Emirates Palace, the event will be one of the musical highlights of the Festival. Speaking earlier, John Lickrish, Managing Director of Flash said, “The combination of the hugely charismatic Andrea Bocelli, the world renowned Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra, and the elegant backdrop of the WestPark, Emirates Palace, make this a truly unique evening. Tickets are selling at an incredible rate and we urge people to buy now to avoid disappointment later in the month." Diamond seats are now sold out, however Pearl and Coral category tickets are still available. As of today’s announcement, people can purchase a limited number of extra Grandstand seats. Limited tickets remain for the spectacular Opera Gala Opening Concert on Saturday 21 March, which will feature the most gifted opera singer of our time, Romanian soprano Angela Gheorghiu, performing with internationally acclaimed German tenor Jonas Kaufmann. The pair will be accompanied by the Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra, led by Austrian conductor Ion Marin. Tickets are also selling fast to ‘Latifa Sings Naseer Shamma’ on Tuesday 31 March, which will see oud virtuoso, Naseer Shamma, collaborate with Tunisian actress and singer, Latifa, in a world premiere performance. In another unique collaboration, the Trio Recital with Sir James Galway, Jean-Yves Thibaudet and Nina Kotova on Wednesday 1 April is another festival hot ticket and a performance that shouldn’t be missed. Mrs Hoda I. Al Khamis-Kanoo, Founder of the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation, said: ”I am delighted by the huge demand we have seen for tickets so far this year. Interest in the arts inAbu Dhabi and across the region is increasing and year-on-year the festival becomes an even greater cultural event in the region.
