Representatives from selected government & private schools to join on-site tour, informative and entertaining activities.
ALHOSN University, a leading Abu Dhabi-based university dedicated to high-quality, value-based education, has announced that it is receiving selected students from government and private schools to its special “Open Day” being held today (Saturday, April 4, 2009) from 4 to 6 pm at the Women’s Campus.
The University had previously sent out personal invitations to 4,000 graduating high school students from various government and private schools. University departments will be setting up their own booths to inform visitors of their respective courses, educational methods and activities. On-site tours will also be conducted for groups of students every 15 minutes to enable visitors to explore University facilities and meet key personnel. Moreover, different university departments will be displaying models and other projects made by ALHOSN students throughout the Open Day.
“We have become a source of many productive professionals in the government and private sectors after only four years of operation. We foster a culture of excellence and leadership that we want to spread to more of the country’s students. The Open Day allows us to showcase our strengths as an educational institution and invite students to help us in supporting national growth through a blend of cultural pride and innovative thinking,” said Prof. Abdul Rahim Sabouni, Vice Chancellor and CEO of ALHOSN University.
ALHOSN University is an Abu Dhabi-based institution accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the UAE. The University started offering its academic programs in 2005 to students from all nationalities. ALHOSN manages 18 accredited undergraduate and graduate programs in three faculties catering to various disciplines that are in great demand at the national, regional and international levels. Most of the programs have been developed by top academicians from prestigious North American universities.
The City Campus of ALHOSN includes the Men’s Campus, the Women’s Campus, Library Building, Lectures Building and the Engineering Labs Building, all located in the center of Abu Dhabi. Works for the university main campus with state-of-the-art facilities designed according to the highest international standards will start in the near future.
