HE Mohammed Rashid Al Hameli director general of Abu Dhabi Chamber of commerce and industry received Abu Dhabi Award for Government Excellence from Mr. Yasser Al Naqbi, director of the Office of the award in the presence of assistants Director-General of the Chamber in honor of best practices and recognition of the role of the Chamber as a distinct government institution in providing the best practices in the areas of staff development and participation and the promotion of partnerships, learning and innovation.
The director-general of the Chamber also received from the director of the Office of the Abu Dhabi Award the report on ratings for the participation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Abu Dhabi in the award, which is one of the most prominent awards, which contributes to the drive to work towards excellence and development in government institutions.
HE Mohammed Rashid Al Hameli said that the report contained the most important strengths and opportunities for improvement based on the award criteria and characteristic steps of the Chamber of Abu Dhabi in the area of work and upgrading of government action, as the Government of Abu Dhabi is seeking to be one of the distinguished governments in all areas based on its vision and future plans for 2030.
The Director General of Abu Dhabi Chamber extended his thanks and appreciation to Mr. Yasser Al Naqbi, Director of the Office of the Abu Dhabi Award for Government Excellence, praising the efforts in the promotion of partnerships between local institutions, and to continue its work in raising awareness of the strategic development of services provided.
HE said : "The Abu Dhabi Chamber of commerce and industry is moving towards best practices in performance, and it exerts the superior efforts of its management and employees in various areas, and thus occupy a prominent place among the various government agencies working in Abu Dhabi, noting that the success of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry to obtain the Abu Dhabi Award for Government Excellence - the excellence in government institutional capacity was the culmination of the plans of the chamber and the efforts made by all employees and the continuation of a series of successes and achievements of the Chamber over the past years.
HE Al Hameli paid tribute and appreciation to all staff for their effort to achieve excellence and success of the Chamber. He also praised the role played by the Award office which contributes to continuously improve the performance of local government institutions in Abu Dhabi and will contribute directly to improving the quality of services provided to the public by the various institutions and bodies operating in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry as part of its continuing efforts to provide the best services to the public and its clientele, opened in July of 2008 the first integrated services center i.e. " members services center ", the first of its kind in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, housing the offices of more than 14 private and official institution rendering special services under one roof and the number of customers who benefited from the services of this Center exceeded 50,000 customers.
