Chairman Meets Malaysian Ambassador











HE Eng Salah Salem bin Omeir Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry President of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry discussed with HE Dato Yahya bin Abdul-Jabbar, the Malaysian Ambassador to the UAE means to develop economic relations and investment cooperation between companies and businessmen in both Abu Dhabi and Malaysia. HE Eng Salah Al Shamsi said that Malaysia is an important trade partner to the United Arab Emirates and statistics show that numbers of trade exchange between the two countries have increased significantly over the past few years, and this rise in these numbers leads us to promote cooperation between companies and institutions in both countries, particularly in the areas which Abu Dhabi seeks to focus in the 2030 economic vision and plan for the next phase, in particular the tourism, health services ,education and industrial sectors. HE Al Shamsi affirmed the importance of the establishment of joint industrial projects between the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and Malaysia while extending an invitation to companies and institutions in Malaysia to take advantage of various opportunities available in Abu Dhabi and the multiple advantages offered to foreign companies wishing to invest in the UAE. He added “ we hope to see more participation from the Malaysian companies in the industrial ,real estate, health and education which jare being held in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and planned to be implemented in the coming years , pointing out that these plans provide a unique opportunity for Malaysian companies to increase their presence and strengthening their partnerships with national companies and to increase their investments in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the transfer of technology and expertise developed by Malaysia to suit the needs and future requirements of the Emirate. HE Al Shamsi affirmed the keenness of the chamber for the participation in the International Congress of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the world hosted by the city of Kuala Lumpur before the end of the first half of this year. He also welcomed the organization of an exhibition of Malaysian products in Abu Dhabi early next year, stressing the chamber’s support to this important event.
