Gold And Jewelry Group Holds Regular Meeting











The working group of gold and jewelry last night held a regular meeting at Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, headed by HE Mohammed Rashed Al Hameli, director general of the Chamber and in the presence of more than 30 people from the managers and owners of shops and facilities of gold & jewelry in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. At the beginning of the meeting His Excellency the Director-General of the Chamber welcomed the members of a working group of gold and jewelery pointing out that it is one of the working groups that have been recently launched under the umbrella of the chamber and in line with its strategy to strengthen ties and develop cooperation with the private sector and raise its capacity and strengthen its contributions to the ongoing development of the emirate of Abu Dhabi. In a recent statistic from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Abu Dhabi, the number of jewelry and gold shops in Abu Dhabi at the end of the month of February of this year, 199 companies and institutions. Al Hameli stressed that the gold and jewelry sector is one of the important sectors, and affecting all other sectors and activities in view of its effective role in the development and prosperity of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the Chamber will support this vital and important sector and will provide all facilities to the sector of jewels and gold and to cooperate with them in the examination of proposals and opinions towards the development of this sector and identify the obstacles that face it and raise them to the concerned authorities in order to create successful solutions to them. His Excellency Mohammed Al Hamli paid tribute to this important achievement, which is a continuation of the formation of other working groups under the umbrella of the chamber, including all economic sectors and activities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to develop the business environment and upgrade the capacity of the private sector and attract more investors and businessmen to actively contribute to the process of sustainable development of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. A presentation was provided on a full account of the objectives and tasks of the working groups ,in addition to the logistical support by the chamber to upgrade performance in the working groups. Al Hameli said that Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry has launched its initiative in the establishment of working groups aimed at identifying the constraints faced by the economic sector in dealing with others and resolve to work together to improve the performance of the sectors through the provision of the annual forums, seminars and workshops, and finally action to implement the recommendations resulting from meetings in coordination with the concerned department and other concerned groups. He said that this initiative will serve the different economic sectors operating in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and will work to propose solutions to all the difficulties faced by the private sector in cooperation with the concerned authorities in the Emirate so that the private sector can play its role in the implementation of development projects in the emirate.
