Italian delegation invites ADAC to showcase airport commercial opportunities

Abu Dhabi Int’l Airport Business & Logistics Park discussed

In collaboration with the Italian Business Group, Finmeccanica, and the Italian Embassy, a delegation of 35 Italian business professionals met in Abu Dhabi yesterday to discuss commercial opportunities within the Emirate, which included a presentation by Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) officials on its developing Business and Logistics Park.

Comprised of representatives from various business sectors, including aviation, information technology, consultancy, and construction and design, delegates congregated to gain a better understanding of the economic developments in the Emirate, with particular focus on the Business and Logistics Park being developed at the Abu Dhabi International Airport. Another purpose was to explore mutually beneficial business opportunities.

Dr. Caio Mussolini, Head of Finmeccanica in the UAE, who welcomed guests and delegates at the Millennium Hotel, Abu Dhabi, yesterday evening, said: "We are proud to host the Italian business delegation together with ADAC and other government organizations. We believe there is enormous potential for a mutually beneficial investment partnership between the Italian organizations and our counterparts in Abu Dhabi, which can lead to long-term sustainable, business relationships".

Leading the team that was invited to present the Business and Logistics Park opportunity to the group, Saeed Al Mulla, VP, Business Park Development at ADAC, said:

"The Business and Logistics Park has already started attracting many companies interested in aligning their commercial interests for the region out of Abu Dhabi. Similarly, we are here to encourage mutual investment opportunities and potential business ties with high-powered Italian enterprises."

"Located next to one of the fastest growing and dynamic airport developments ever conceived, aviation-related and other businesses that are looking for fast and easy access to both Eastern and Western markets will find Abu Dhabi offering a series of sound economic benefits and advantages," added Al Mulla.

Zeyad Al Majed, Senior Project Advisor at ADAC, also highlighted the steps planned for Al Ain to meet the specific needs of small to medium-sized, aerospace manufacturing enterprises. Along with multi-modal transport, the Al Ain Logistics Park will provide competitively priced residential and commercial developments with long-term inflation-protected leases. Coupled with the zero tax environment, this will offer the most competitive cost base in the UAE allowing for sustainable long-term business activity.
