Guests Discuss The Risks They Faced In Their Professions On This Week’s ’Nashwa’











This week on ‘Nashwa’, four guests discuss the various risks they took and the harm they faced in each of their professions. Most of us look at the bright side of each profession without realizing that each job comes with a certain type of risk. Nashwa Al Ruwaini sits down with her guests to discover the risks inherent in their professions and the harm they had faced.

‘Nashwa’ is aired on Dubai TV every Monday at 22:30 and repeated every Saturday at 18:00.

Nashwa meets with a UAE Close Protection Unit Officer, Ameena Saleh Ali, who had fallen from the fifth floor of a building while working as a bodyguard for a high-profile woman. Photographer Amr Nabil speaks of how he lost one of his eyes trying to cover an election campaign while electrician Hamad Shaabeen’s exposure to high electricity pressure has led to senility at 35 years.

Famous lion trainer Louba Al Helw talks of how her grandfather was killed by a lion while other family members suffered some serious injuries, yet she is adamant about pursuing the family profession.

The show winds down with an interview with Dr. Fatima Al Rashidi, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi National Campaign for Social Cohesion and Chairman of the Al Tawasel Centre for Family Training and Consultancy. Dr. Al Rashidi will give discuss the campaign which aimed to raise awareness about the importance of families and offered marriage counseling for young couples, the results of the campaign and their plans for the future.
