Pyramedia Nominated For Best Arts And Cultural Event At The Middle East Events Awards 2009 |

Pyramedia, the leading production company in Abu Dhabi, has been nominated for Best Arts and Cultural Event at the Middle East Events Awards 2009 for the production of the Al Mahabba Awards Festival, a celebration of love through art for the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). The winners of the awards show will be announced at a dinner to be held April 27 at the Joharah Ballroom at the Madinat Jumeriah, Dubai. Pyramedia produced the Festival for the Mahabba Awards Festival Board of Directors in its second edition which was held at the Al Raha Beach Theatre in Abu Dhabi from April 24 to 26 in 2008. The Best Arts and Cultural Event category recognizes an outstanding art or cultural event whose main theme is to represent and celebrate a culture, tradition or holiday specific to a nationality or religion. The Al Mahabba Awards was created to promote artistic expressions of love for the Prophet and inspire Muslims all over the world, especially young people, to express their deep love for the Prophet. The Awards came about three years ago in response to a series of disrespectful cartoons published in a Danish newspaper depicting the Prophet Mohammed. The festival brought together Islamic pop bands, artists, filmmakers and poets from all around the world showcasing three concerts, an art exhibition and an elaborate Opening and Closing ceremony over the three days. As the production company for Al Mahabba, Pyramedia offered a full range of services during the three days from set and lighting design for the concerts and ceremonies held to full production and post-production services, marketing, advertising and publicity for the event. In all, two ceremonies, three concerts and two conferences were held during the three days of the Festival. Pyramedia also provided full broadcasting services as the festival aired on Al Resalah Channel and the Poet Channel. The Middle East Events Awards encourages innovation, flair and professionalism in the Middle East events industry and rewards outstanding achievements while acting as a benchmark and target for all event industry professionals and showcasing the outstanding achievements of the Middle East events industry to the events industry worldwide. |
