UAE Endurance Champions Honored |

UAE endurance races champions were honored by UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation at special ceremony at Burj Al Arab in Dubai. The ceremony was attended by H.H Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Bin Zayed al-Nahyan, chairman of the Federation and member of the executive council, Taleb Dhaher Al Muhairi, Secretary-General of the Federation, H.H Sheikh Mansour Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid al-Maktoum, representatives of Shadwell Stables and other sponsors and a host of the representatives of the media. In a speech at the ceremony, Sheikh Sultan expressed thanks to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al- Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al -Maktoum and the UAE sheikhs for their support to UAE jockey’s who attained world titles. Sheikh Sultan and Sheikh Mansour presented trophies to members of the UAE endurance team who won the last World Endurance Championship in Terengganu, Malaysia in recognition of their achievements. The first trophy went to H.H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid al-Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, the second to H.H Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid al-Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority. The two trophies were received by Sheikh Mansour on behalf of Sheikh Hamdan and Sheikh Majid. Other team members Mubarak Khalifa Bin Shafya, Abdullah Bin Huzaim and Mohammad Ahmad Ali Subose were also honored at the ceremony. H.H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance was given a special honor at the ceremony in appreciation for his distinct role in supporting sports in the UAE. In a press statement, Sheikh Sultan said honoring UAE endurance champions is in fact honoring all UAE athletes who raised high their country’s at world championships. |
