Sharjah Commerce And Tourism To Participate In Kazakhstan International Tourism & Travel Fair |

The Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) announced its participation for the emirate of Sharjah for the second consecutive time in Kazakhstan International Tourism & Travel Fair KITF which will take place at Atakent Exhibition Centre in Almaty 23-26 of April 2009, with exhibitors from all over the world. Sharjah delegation includes a number of senior representatives from the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, Air Arabia, Sharjah Airport Travel Agency, Radisson SAS Resort, Al Khalidiah tourism, Golden Tulip Hotel, Sharjah National Hotels, Al Saif Beach Hotel and Tropic international tours. The SCTDA views its participation in this event for the second time as a vehicle for the realization of Sharjah’s vision, and to further encourage international tourism, securing a leading position for the emirate on the international tourism map. Additionally, the authority seeks in its participation at the KITF to open new markets with the aim to attract larger number of tourists to the emirate, particularly in the light of the current global changes. The SCTDA stressed on the importance of participation in Kazakhstan International Tourism & Travel Fair as a part of its strategy to augment the emirate’s already established leading position on the world tourism map. The focus on Kazakhstan and Central Asia region is an important step, as the current difficult time requires tremendous efforts to get a significant share of the regional and international tourism market. Sharjah looks forward to opening new international channels in a bid to increase tourist and capital flow into the emirate. The authority utilizes these opportunities to exchange experiences and to showcase Sharjah’s unique tourist and heritage attractions to the participants and visitors, alike. According to SCTDA’s officials, the authority is keen to build on the outstanding success of its debut in last year edition of the KITF, and will showcase this year through a stand that is designed to reflect the elements and components of Sharjah’s promotional identity, and the diversity and excellence of the emirate’s tourist profile. KITF is the premier and the biggest international tourism & travel exhibition in Central Asia Region. It attracts large number of tourism corporations and agencies from all over the world. KITF 2009 is expecting more than 40 thousand visitors.
