Ministerial Decree Issued To Implement ’Model Schools Initiative’ In Sharjah |

Forty-SixModel Schools to Benefit 13,000 Students in SharjahForty six schools across Sharjah will be realigned to a new model school concept by the beginning of academic year 2013, benefitting 13,000 students in line with the directive of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. His Excellency Dr Humaid bin Mohammed Al Qutami, Minister of Education, has issued a decree setting up a committee to implement the directive. Mandated to ensure the quick and effective implementation of the initiative, the committee is also tasked with developing regulatory frameworks for coordination between relevant authorities and stakeholders.Towards this end, the committee will be required to facilitateinformation and data exchange betweenall authorities that are involved in implementing the initiative. Comprising members from the Sharjah Education Council, Sharjah Educational Zone and the Sharjah Educational Office, the committee will identify the needs of the schools across the emirate. In cooperation with the University of Sharjah, the committee will then train teachers and advance their professional skills, which would help promote a model school environment that simulates students. |
